王大陸自從2015年電影「我的少女時代」走紅後就脫離柴智屏到大陸打拚，人氣也扶搖直上，他曾在2017年拍攝一部古裝劇「狼殿下」，但壓了3年多直到2020年才見光播出。
王大陸當時和女主角李沁為宣傳上很多綜藝節目，有一個從後環抱李沁的橋段，李沁似乎被王大陸突如其來的動作嚇到，表情明顯不自然也有抗拒的意思，網友紛紛怒指王大陸是吃豆腐、伸鹹豬手。而他當時在劇中和李沁也有吻戲，激烈又霸氣的吻讓李沁的嘴都變形，李沁在受訪時就曾說和王大陸拍吻戲簡直「像在拔罐」。
